Bowling Club Reflects on Ditch Liners’ Quality and Longevity after 3 Years of Use
Cambridgeshire based Sawtry and District Bowling Club came to Clifton Rubber over three years ago to buy their Bowls Ditch Liners after seeing them at another Club.
The Club had previously used a couple of other methods to line their ditches including artificial grass liners and old rubber liners across the years.
They liked what they saw
When playing a match at Huntingdon Indoor Bowls Club they saw the Bowls Ditch Liners supplied to them by Clifton Rubber and decided to investigate further.
Karen Leader, one of the Sawtry Team Players said:
“We’d tried various methods of lining our ditches in the past, but they were poor quality and didn’t last long. Having seen what Huntingdon Indoor Bowls Club were using we contacted Clifton Rubber straight away.
We’ve now had their Ditch Liners in place for over 3 years and they are excellent quality, protect the bowls and are definitely worth the investment.”
In the Winter the Ditch Liners at Sawtry are taken out and stored indoors and then jet washed and replaced for the summer.
They have soft rubber spikes which play an important role in both protecting the woods and jacks from surface damage and stopping them moving from where they drop into the ditch. This means they meet the criteria and regulations set by the bowls governing bodies.
Karen concludes:
“We were happy to buy local on this occasion but have no hesitation in recommending the Ditch Liners to any other Clubs across the UK.”
